After 12 years of operation under the auspices of a number
of different organisations, we are proud to announce that Eat Well
Tasmania has now become an incorporated association. The program
held its formation meeting on the 14 February 2007 and officially
became Eat Well Tasmanian Inc on the 20 March 2007. The first Annual
General Meeting was held on the 18th October 2007.
Eat Well Tasmania is all about partnerships and shared responsibility
for promoting good nutrition in Tasmania. This shared responsibility
is also reflected in the make up of the Eat Well Tasmania Board.
The Eat Well Tasmania Board is the collaborative body that manages
the Eat Well Tasmania program. The Board is made up of individual
and organisational members, representing a range of sectors.
Eat Well Tasmania is also guided by two reference groups – the
Partnerships Reference Group and the Nutrition Reference Group.
These groups provide input and advice in relation to the practical
elements of the projects and activities that link with Eat Well
Tasmania.
The Eat Well Tasmania Board receives funding from the Department
of Health & Human Services, other funding bodies, sponsorship
and in-kind support
