| | The Eat Well Tasmania program has been in operation for over 15 years, having been established in 1995 as a direct result of a recommendation from the Tasmanian Food and Nutrition Policy (1994, updated 2004). In 2007 Eat Well Tasmania became and incorporated organisation. Prior to incorporation in 2007, the Eat Well Tasmania program operated under the auspices of various non-government organisations. The first Annual General Meeting of Eat Well Tasmania Incorporated was held on the 18th October 2007.
Eat Well Tasmania Incorporated is all about partnerships and shared responsibility for promoting good nutrition in Tasmania. This shared responsibility is also reflected in the makeup of the Eat Well Tasmania Board of Management (EWT BOM).
The EWT BOM is the collaborative body that manages the Eat Well Tasmania program and overseas organisational governance. The EWT BOM is made up of individual and organisational members, representing a range of sectors.
Eat Well Tasmania Incorporated receives funding from the Department of Health & Human Services, along with other funding bodies, sponsorship and in-kind support.
