Fruit and Veg Month 2010
August is Fruit & Veg Month! Eating enough serves of fruit and vegetables is essential for a healthy diet and growth and development of children and teenagers to maintain health into adulthood. Including fruit and vegetable everyday can help to prevent diseases such as cardiovascular disease, type II diabetes, obesity, and some cancers.
Get involved this year by participating in our healthy lunch competition, or celebrating within your school using our school activity ideas!
Eat Well Tasmania is celebrating Fruit and Veg Month this August, and invites you to get involved with this year's Simply design a healthy lunch which includes TWO fruits and FIVE vegetables, then send in your menu and your proposed date to register!
The first 25 registrations will receive a Go for 2&5 Healthy Lunch packs
