Good nutrition is very important for the development and growth of young children.
Childcare centres have an important role to play in helping to develop good eating
habits in young children. They can do this by providing a variety of foods for children
to taste and enjoy. Staff can teach children healthy attitudes to food and eating
by being consistent with positive messages about food and nutrition.
