Right Eat Right - Tasmania is a joint initiative between Lady Gowrie
and the Community Nutrition Unit, and is proudly sponsored by the
Telstra Foundation.
With
the aim of training centre-based cooks, directors and carers
in:
it is envisaged improvements in the quality of food and nutritional practises available through these service centres will be made. |

In
turn trained carers will be able to provide parents with nutrition
advice, handy hints and resource materials on topics including:
- Food allergy and intolerances
- Food awareness activities
- How much food is enough
- Planning menus and packing lunchboxes
- Label reading

Participating
services have access to ongoing training, development and resources
and are also eligible to apply for the in-service training
and award scheme Start Right - Eat Right.
